SETI

THE END OF A GREAT DEBATE

"If you believe in love and are curious, you will know whether life exists in the Universe."

SUNRISE

Thinkers from antiquity to modern times have wondered whether alien life exists in the universe. For several decades now, scientists dedicated to the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) have been working hard to find the evidence. This includes those working for NASA where the effort to send probes to certain moons around Saturn to determine if alien bacteria may exist is of prime interest at the present time. And in the next decade, NASA intends to build a new and highly sensitive device to send into space designed to analyze the atmospheres of planets around distant stars. Clearly, scientists are increasingly confident we will detect alien life somewhere in the universe. It is all a question of time.

Today, many scientists believe that ETs should exist based on good sociological, biological and astronomical evidence. The question is where do we find the direct evidence to confirm the answer? Should it be through radio telescopes, sending probes to the moons of Saturn, or some other approach?

SUNRISE is also confident of the prospects of finding ETs at the present time. In fact, the technology to allow intelligent lifeforms to reach our planet and study us is already known thanks to the publication of UFOs - Can We Advance Science?. So for now we will assume alien life already exists.

This section is dedicated to focussing primarily on determining how many alien civilisations exist in the Milky Way, how long it might take for an alien civilisation to colonise the galaxy (and hence reach us), and reveal the possible reason for an alien civilisation to choose not to make direct contact with us.

If you would like to include other information in this section, we would be happy to publish it for you. Just the information and we will endeavour to make it available to everyone free-of-charge (together with your name recorded forever on this site).

Happy reading...and learning!
